Memory Lane Monday: Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

Yes, it is that time of the week. The day we dread and wish would never come- Mondays. *Wipes tear* But have no fear, Memory Lane Monday is here! Every Monday, here at TheYABookworm, I'll do a special post called Memory Lane Monday. What's that you ask? Memory Lane Monday is a once-a-week post where I (or any other bloggers that wish to participate)  choose one book that I've previously read to be featured on that day. From the book chosen, I will pick two of my favourite quotes and write a little blurb containing my quick thoughts on the book. The books that I choose will not be books I've reviewed- since I've read so many books, I want to share with you my opinions on ones that I won't get the chance to fully review (because seriously, rereading dozens of books would take a year...or two)! Be sure to participate by leaving your "Memory Lane Monday" in the comments, or a link to your blog post with the hash-tag #YAMemoryLaneMonday on twitter :D

This Weeks Memory Lane Monday...
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

Anna was looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. So she's less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris—until she meets Étienne St. Clair. Smart, charming, beautiful, Étienne has it all . . . including a serious girlfriend.   But in the City of Light, wishes have a way of coming true. Will a year of romantic near-misses end with their long-awaited French kiss? Stephanie Perkins keeps the romantic tension crackling and the attraction high in a debut guaranteed to make toes tingle and hearts melt.

Top Two Favourite Quotes...
#1 “For the two of us, home isn't a place. It is a person. And we are finally home.”
#2 “I mean, really. Who sends their kid to boarding school? It's so Hogwarts. Only mine doesn't have cute boy wizards or magic candy or flying lessons.”

With summer here, I felt the need to share with you guys a book that is an absolute perfect read for all of you inner romantics out there- and what better book than  Anna and the French Kiss  by author Stephanie Perkins?! Some of you may remember me mentioning this book in my review for Lola and the Boy Next Door (The companion novel to Anna and the French Kiss, which focuses on other characters).
Anna and the French Kiss centers around the budding romance between American senior Anna and the handsomely beautiful english-french Étienne! I have to say, this book is an impeccably sweet and addicting love story that will have you begging to take a trip to Paris.  The quotes I chose do not do this book justice- it must be read to receive the full impact the story has on you. Not only is it set in one of the most romantic cities in the world, but it is also filled with lovable characters, quirky humor, and an endless ride of emotions that will stick with you long after you've finished reading.
Don't take my word for it, read it yourself and you'll see the effect this story has on you. If you've read Anna and the French Kiss before, let me know your thoughts in the comments, and if you haven't, go buy it right now - you won't regret it....I hope ;) See you next Monday!
