Maybe driving home after a few (or more) shots of tequila had been a bad idea, but hell, he did it all the time. The cops had to have been freaking bored to have pulled him over. He wasn’t even swerving! That’s Cage York’s story and he’s sticking to it.

Unfortunately, his baseball coach isn’t buying it. Cage has a free ride to the local junior college for baseball -- or he did, until he’d gotten a DUI. Now, Cage has to decide: does he drop out and give up his dream of getting noticed by a college in the SEC, and possibly making it into the Major Leagues -- or does he give in to his coach’s demands and spend his summer baling hay?

Eva Brooks planned out her life step by step when she was eight years old. Not once over the years had she lost sight of her goals. Josh Beasley, her next door neighbor, had been the center of those goals. He’d been her first boyfriend at seven, her first kiss at ten, her first date at fifteen, and her first tragedy at eighteen. The moment she’d received the phone call from Josh’s mother saying he’d been killed along with four other soldiers just north of Baghdad, Eva’s carefully planned life imploded in the worst way possible.

Cage isn’t real happy with his closet-sized bedroom in the back of a foul smelling barn, or his daily interactions with cows, but he knows that if he doesn’t make his coach happy then he can kiss his scholarship goodbye. Only a sick and twisted man would decide his punishment was to be working on a farm all summer. No hot babes in bikinis waiting to meet a Southern boy to make her vacation complete. Just him and the damned cows.

Oh -- and an uptight, snarky brunette with the biggest blue eyes he’s every seen. But she doesn’t count, because as hard as he’s tried to charm her out of her panties - he’s pretty sure she’d rather see him hung from the rafters than let him get a taste of her pretty little lips.

   While it Lasts is the third addition to author Abbi Glines' Sea Breeze Series. If your a regular reader of The Y.A. Bookworm then you probably know that I have become an ultimate Abbi Glines fan! I read the first two books of the Sea Breeze series earlier in July, and since then I've been yearning for While it Lasts. Yet again, Miss Glines has made me one happy bookworm! 

   I think an essential part to enjoying everything this book has to offer is to read Because of Low (Sea Breeze #2) before reading While it Lasts. Because of Low gives you so much backstory to Cage's character, and because of that, you see a real change in his character that you have to read to believe! But no worries, Cage's sexy, dominant side is in no way effected by his epiphany *raises virtual roof* It made me extremely happy to see Cage "change" while still very much being Cage!

   The chemistry between Cage and Eva was sweet, fun, and incredibly sexy. There was a bit of resistance between both of them at the beginning but it sure did turn around! Their love story was unlike any of Abbi Glines' others! Where as most relationships are sweet with a side of sexy, Cage and Eva's is sexy with a side of sweet! The intensity between the two of them was immediate, and it continued to grow and grow as the story went on. Fans and ice won't be able to cool off the incredible sizzle that comes with their every encounter! The relationship between Cage and Eva is consuming and absolutely addicting- you won't be able to stop reading until the very end. 

   Apart from making me completely swoon, While it Lasts also was the first book in a long time that made me cry. Beware bookworms, both the prologue and epilogue are what I am now calling "Grab A Tissue" zone. I'm not going give away anything, but I will say Abbi Glines' does a perfect job of bringing the book to a complete circle. The way she begins and ends the story is so perfect that there are very few worthy words to describe it!

   And lastly, I couldn't write this review without expressing how much I loved seeing a female musician in this novel! *Goooo Eva!* Abbi Glines' has a pattern of having male character musicians that she commonly releases actual songs for on iTunes. So, you can see how I was completely ecstatic to find out Eva was a musician herself. This side of Eva also contributes to one of the sweetest scenes of the book that you have to read to enjoy! I hope we'll get to see Eva's song be released on iTunes as well =D

"Maybe. I'm checking things out. Seeing if I'm interested," I shot back with my own evil grin.
"I see something I want," he drawled as he came toward me.
"You do?"
"Hell yeah, I do," he murmured. "I love chocolate." What? My excitement turned to confusion. His arm reached out beside me and took the piece of chocolate cake I'd brought him.

"You are such a bad boy." She tugged on the hair that brushed my collar.

"I can be real bad. You haven't seen anything yet," I murmured, bending my head so I could take a nip at the soft skin at the back of her neck.

"I'm not sure I could keep up with you. I'm extremely inexperienced. We are in completely different planets when it comes to sexual experience," her breathing was labored as I licked and kissed different sweet spots on her shoulders and collarbone.

"I didn't say anything about sex, Eva," I grinned before kissing her jawline. "You're the naughty one who brought up sex."

I was taking the bad boy off the market for good.

Overall...

   Overall While it Lasts was an impeccably sexy installment that has left me begging for more. Love, love, LOVED it =D I feel like I'm starting to sound like a broken record whenever I review books by Abbi Glines because they're all just so great!
