Feature and Follow Friday {8}

Feature and Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read!

What hyped up book do you think was not worth all the talk?

I have to say that although I did like the Hunger Games, I didn't love it as much as most people (especially the third novel)! I've read many great Dystopian novels *cough cough* Divergent *cough cough* and I can honestly say that if it wasn't for the hype, I wouldn't have ever picked up the Hunger Games. It was an okay series for me that at times I found was even a bit repetitive. Sorry Hunger Game fans *ducks from flying tomatoes* :$

Be sure to leave links to your #FF below so I can visit and follow your blogs! Happy Friday!

  1. I'm going to be saying this a lot this week but different strokes for different folks. You see I actually LOVED Hunger Games but wasn't totally blown away my Divergent. I thought it was good but I just didn't go bananas over it.

  2. Yeah this is kind of an interesting question because anything that has TOO much hype, tends to disappoint no matter what. Old Follower. My FFs are at Musings on Fantasia and LKHill. Happy Friday! :D

  7. I've never even read The Hunger Games. Not because I think it isn't good, but because I just don't care for dystopian society books. I probably never will read the series.

  9. I liked The Hunger Games but I wasn't as moved by it as others seem to be. I think I heard too much about it before I read it . I liked it but I haven't finished the 2 nd one yet. I am GFC follower :)

  10. I haven't even read The Hunger Games but from what I've heard I know that I don't want too. A book that was more hype than what it was worth in my opinion was Meg Cabot's Overbite. Which is hard for me to say because i loooooovveeee Meg Cabot lol.

  14. I'm actually not going to judge you on this because I started and stopped this book twice before I was able to finish it. And sometimes I only think I finished it because the movie was coming out lol In the end I did like it alot tho.

  16. I liked it! It was my first dystopian and left an unforgettable impression. A third book however was an ultimate let-down.

    1. The third book was definitely the worst- first one was probably my favourite of the three because the second one felt like a repeat :P Happy Sunday!
