Abigail Shelton is dead.

Spring Valley's golden girl is found floating face-down in her boyfriend’s pool, hands bound behind her back, head bleeding, drugs and alcohol in her system. Her friends are the only suspects – and they all have reasons to want her dead. Everyone has an alibi, but no one is innocent.

ALIBI is a 4-part young adult e-book series. Each one-hundred page installment reveals the perspective of a different character: the secret love, the nemesis, the boyfriend, the best friend. As their tales unfold, we learn that Abby is not as perfect as everyone believes, but she’s not the only one with secrets to hide. This page-turning tale of suspense, betrayal, murder, and lust will keep fans of Gossip Girl and Pretty Little Liars up and reading well past curfew.

     I can honestly say that Alibi is unlike any book I have ever read! Abigail (Abby) has been found dead in her boyfriend's pool- who killed her? Nobody knows.....but there are four suspicious suspects-all with alibis and motive.

     Each volume of the book goes into each suspect's story on the events leading up to the night of Abby's death. With each POV, new secrets are revealed that provide you with clues as to who killed Abby. Although the killer seemed pretty obvious to me early on in the book, the continuous twists and revealed truths made me eager to find out more about these teenagers' lives.

     Even though the book is told through four different POVs, the story doesn't go forward, it is simply a re-telling of basically the same scenes from each of the suspect's perspectives. I personally loved seeing how some characters knew more than others, and being able to understand the reasoning behind all of their actions- it's rare to get a glimpse into so many characters' minds, and I have to say, I really enjoyed it! I actually found myself loving certain characters when I was reading through their POVs and then coming to dislike them when I was reading through another's *cough cough* ....yeah, I'm talking about you Charles *hisses

     I have mixed feelings about how Alibi ends....on one hand I don't like that we don't ever end up finding whether or not the killer gets caught... but on the other, the ending is very dramatic and kind of works for a book like this.

Favourite Quotes...

"Up close, Palmer realized for the first time that this boy might actually be her age. An exchange student, maybe? Usually she reserved her attention for older boys—college boys who were more refined than the buffoons she was forced to endure at school. But this boy was an exception."

~~~~~
"And she crossed her fingers that when the day came, he'd forgive her- not just for standing him up, but for being too weak to say no to earlier that afternoon, when they'd shared a kiss that had to be their last."
~~~~~

"It's better to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission"

Overall...

     Overall, Albi is the perfect mixture of scandal, lies, and betrayal. I have to agree with the synopsis that Alibi combines the best of Pretty Little Liars and Gossip Girl into a quick, addicting and mysterious read perfect for anyone looking for something unique. Before I finish, I also want to point out that Alibi is definitely a mature YA novel that,  although doesn't get into detail, does contain quite a bit of sexual content. Have you read Alibi? Who's your favourite suspect? Be sure to let me know in the comments below! Keep Reading!
