Love or life. Henry or their child.The end of her family or the end of the world.Kate must choose.
During nine months of captivity, Kate Winters has survived a jealous goddess, a vengeful Titan and a pregnancy she never asked for. Now the Queen of the Gods wants her unborn child, and Kate can't stop her--until Cronus offers a deal.
In exchange for her loyalty and devotion, the King of the Titans will spare humanity and let Kate keep her child. Yet even if Kate agrees, he'll destroy Henry, her mother and the rest of the council. And if she refuses, Cronus will tear the world apart until every last god and mortal is dead.
With the fate of everyone she loves resting on her shoulders, Kate must do the impossible: find a way to defeat the most powerful being in existence, even if it costs her everything.
Even if it costs her eternity.
     For those of you who have read my review for Goddess Interrupted, you know how agonizing the cliffhanger was! So much happened at the end of that book, making me more than ready to get started on Goddess Inheritance! After seeing Ava betray Kate, and finding out Kate was pregnant, I was going absolutely crazy trying to figure out how Kate could possibly get her way out of this huge problem on her hands. Not to mention my curiosity as to how Henry was going to react once he found out Kate had been kidnapped!

     I have to say that like Gates of Paradise by Melissa de la Cruz, The Goddess Inheritance had a different vibe to it because the characters have really grown. Kate becoming a mother added a bit of maturity and feistiness to her character (even though there were still times that I wanted to shake that girl). Even Henry was bit different with his new father role. Honestly, if you thought Henry was awesome before....wait till you "see" him holding a baby....because, as crazy as it is, he gets hotter ! :P

     Of course, how can I write this review with out once again saying how much I love Kate and Henry together (and seeing them together as parents was just too sweet)! Their love for one another might have reached a new level in Goddess Interrupted, but it  really shined through in Goddess Inheritance! Maybe its because of their baby...maybe it's because of their willingness to sacrifice themselves for one another....but whatever it is, these two are a beautiful and strong duo!

     Goddess Inheritance's main focus essentially revolves around this question, "what are you willing to give up to protect the ones you love?" Kate is forced to make some really difficult decisions, one of them being choosing between the safety of her baby or her husband. This theme also comes up again through Ava's character. Although I was angry at Ava for betraying Kate, I still felt really bad for her because she had no choice but to make that sacrifice to protect her husband Nicholas.

    I also wanted to point out that I absolutely despise Cronus and Calliope! *eye twitch* They are two villains that I both hate and find creepily-disgusting! Between Cronus' fascination with Kate and Calliope's delusional thoughts that Henry and his baby belong with her, I was "stand-out-of-my-seat cheering" when one of them died and unfortuantely disappointed seeing that the other one lived -__- ....Sometimes....books are cruel !

Favourite Quotes...

"There's nothing we can do about it right now except prepare ourselves for the possibility that Calliope still has an ace hidden up her sleeve."
Miserable as I was, I snorted into his shoulder. "Hearing you use poker metaphors is bizarre."

~~~~~
"You're a diamond. You shine under pressure."
~~~~~~

"I love you," he murmured. Those three words would never lose their magic.

Overall...

     Overall, Goddess Inheritance gives readers an emotional ending, filled with death, love, pain and forgiveness (That's not even including the emotional state I was in knowing that this was the last book in the Goddess series)! It's sad to say goodbye to these characters, but I am completely satisfied with how everything turned out! Goddess Inheritance is a conclusion readers can't miss!  Have you read Goddess Inheritance? How did you feel about the way the series ended? Be sure to let me know in the comments below! Keep Reading!
