THE APOLLO ACADEMY:
As the heiress to Titon Technologies, eighteen-year-old Aurora Titon can have whatever she wants—clothes, expensive gadgets, anything money can buy. All she really wants is to escape her pampered, paparazzi-prone life for the stars. Becoming the first female pilot to train as an astronaut for the Apollo Academy is exactly the chance for which she has been waiting. Everything would be perfect if it weren't for her unreciprocated crush on a fellow student, the sexy astronaut bent on making her life hell, and the fact that someone keeps trying to kill her.
The first in a four book new adult science fiction series, The Apollo Academy, is an action packed story of love, discovery, and survival.

4/5

The Apollo Academy is the first in a new series by author Kimberly P. Chase. When I first read the synopsis of Apollo Academy, I was immediately intrigued by the two sexy males involved in the story. However, once I started reading, Apollo Academy immediately turned into something more.

One of the many highlights of this novel is the heroine, Aurora. Aurora's dream is to become a pilot, so when she's given the opportunity to train at Apollo Academy, she's ecstatic. However, being the heiress to Titon Technologies brings along some difficulties-- including paparazzi, an astronaut and class that believe her dad bought her way into the school, and, oh yeah, someone is trying to kill her! Despite all the odds stacked against her, I admired Aurora's drive and determination to keep going and fight for her dream. Everything everyone thinks about her is false, which makes her character very complex and interesting.

Of course, how can I go on without mentioning those two hotties from before?! There's Zane, one of Aurora's classmates that is trying to keep his past a secret from everyone at Apollo Academy, and Sky, an astronaut who gives Aurora a tough time for a majority of the book. While reading I almost forgot about the love triangle hinted at the synopsis because for almost half of the novel, Zane is the only one really in the picture seeing as Aurora and Sky absolutely hate each other (and not the "lovey hate," the "growl/hissing hate"). It kind of completely took me by surprise when Sky started to become interested in Aurora, and further surprised me when Aurora started showing feelings for Sky too! I'm not sure I like how so much time was spent with Zane and Aurora because I almost feel obligated to be on Team Zane when, really, I'm confused as to who I like more! So if your wondering if I'm Team Zane or Team Sky.....you're not going to get an answer from me because I'm completely confuzzled!

The alternate POV'S  and wonderful world building are just some of the other many great elements in Apollo Academy! It was filled with some twists and surprises that make you question the motives of particular characters and is set at a steady enough pace that you'll never be bored.

Overall...
Overall, The Apollo Academy was one of the first NA novels I've read that wasn't contemporary (what can I say, I 'm addicted to romance), and I loved it! Although, compared to the NA I typically read, I think this book could definitely be suitable for those who typically read YA (Keep in mind that this could change as the series goes on). If you're looking for something different that has a strong female lead, sexy boys and, most importantly, a very addicting and unique story-line,  Apollo Academy is the book for you! Have you read Apollo Academy? Who's your favorite character? Be sure to let me know in the comments below! Keep Reading!
