12 Days of Bookmas
It’s that time of year again, a time filled with snow, decorations, trees and busy malls! With all of the hustle and bustle of the holiday season going on around us, it’s easy to forget what’s truly important- Bookmas! So, to help us prepare  and count down to this special holiday that is coming our way, I will be going through the 12 Days of Bookmas! What’s that you ask? Each and every day, until December 25th, I will be completing a special Bookmas task that will showcase some of my “Bookworm Favourites!” Your job? To read, comment, and spread Bookmas cheer by telling your friends and sharing Bookmas posts on facebook and twitter using the hashtag #12DAYSofBOOKMAS ! Merry Bookmas to all, and to all good reading!
~~~~~
On the second day of Bookmas my fictional boyfriend sent to me,
2 booktastic trailers,
and a swoon worthy scene for me!
Task: Choose two of your favourite book trailers for any novel/series- no film adaptation trailers!
The trailer for The Evolution of Mara Dyer was one of my favourites this year (Okay, so technically it released sometime in October 2012, but I only got into this series this past Spring)!  Unlike most book trailers out there, I didn't find this one cheesy-- it actually has a lusty/intense underlying quality that I think represents the series incredibly well.
The song in this trailer for The Evolution of Mara Dyer is fantastic.  It's called City Morgue by Kelli Schaefer (And I've listened to it MANY times since watching the trailer below)!
For those of you who follow me regularly, then you probably already know that I did not love the first novel in the Arcana Chronicles as much as so many others did.  As the release date to Endless Knight loomed closer, I started debating whether or not I was actually even going to read this sequel, however, this trailer convinced me to pick it up.  For some reason, despite the fact this trailer doesn't seem to have as great of quality as The Evolution of Mara Dyer's, it really managed to suck me in.....the last line gave me some goosebumps too....I ended up feeling a sudden need to find out where the story was going.
What was your favourite book trailer this year?  Be sure to let me know in the comments below!
{Giveaway}
Contest is open to anyone able to accept an Amazon gift card via email and/or to those who live somewhere where book depository ships to you.  (Not sure? See the full list of countries Book Depository ships to here)!
Please note, because this is a Bookmas Giveaway, the book each winner chooses must be one that is mentioned in one of the Bookmas posts or comes from a series that is mentioned during one of the twelve days.  (Example: Yesterday's feature is Unravel Me.....Both Unravel Me and Destroy Me are up for grabs as well) Be sure to stop by everyday for new opportunities to gain extra entries!
Merry Bookmas!
Your Y.A. Bookworm,
Caitlin <3
    1. I think they've only really started becoming popular in the past couple of years....some trailers (like City of Lost Souls) are at movie style production. I like the fact you get to see your characters come to life in a way that still allows you to see the characters the way you want to see them :)
  4. Book trailers are usually how I decide to read a book or not. I hadn't ever heard of Reboot by Amy Tintera before and someone posted the trailer on twitter, I watched it, thought it was unique and intriguing. So I picked up the book and it turned out to be one if my favorite books if the year. I also enjoyed Not A Drop To Drink by Mindy McGinnis trailer. Thank you!
    1. Yes, you must! I kept putting it off and when I finally decided to read it, I was so mad at myself for not starting it earlier !
