Merry Bookmas to all, and to all good reading!
~~~~~
On the third day of Bookmas my fictional boyfriend sent to me,
3 NA Treasures,
2 booktastic trailers,
and a swoon worthy scene for me!
Task: Pick your top three NA reads you devoured this year!
NA (New Adult) is a genre that has really taken off in the past couple years, and as someone who's read a fair share of NA, I can understand why! Since The Y.A. Bookworm Blogger is typically a YA focused blog, I thought it would be fun to share with you guys some of my favourite NA novels of 2013!
***Warning: These novels are meant for mature readers***
Anything by Abbi Glines immediately goes on my to-be-read list!  I've read every single one of her books (even her YA Existence series) and have become a huge fan....you want a steamy NA?  Go check out Abbi's books!
"You're mine, Eva Brooks. Always. You told me that yourself and, sweetheart, I'm holding you to it."
Sometimes It Lasts is the fifth installment in Abbi's Sea Breeze series and Cage & Eva's second novel.....Cage is definitely my favourite Sea Breeze boy so far!
Cora Carmack's first novel, Losing It, was one of the first NA novels I had ever read and to this day, it is one of my favs! Her novels incorporate the perfect amount of sexy and quirky to create a novel that is equally addicitng and hilarious! #TeamAwkward
Her latest novel, FINDING IT, proved to me once again why I love this author so much. Ladies and gents....meet Jackson (AKA Hunt)...
“I want to memorize the way your eyes clench shut and you bite down on your lip, so that I can sketch your expression from memory. I want to know the exact angle of the way your neck curves, and how many times your heart beats a minute. I want to know everything.”
K.A. Tucker is an author I only just recently discovered this past summer.  Her novels are intense, make your heart race (from both the swoons and the drama) and are filled with characters you can't help but feel attached to.
One Tiny Lie is K.A. Tucker's second novel in the Ten Tiny Breaths series following a girl named Livie, and a hottie by the name of Ashton...
“Because you're not a one-night girl, Irish.' Leaning in to place a kiss on my jawline, he whispers, 'You're my forever girl.”
If you're looking for something steamy to warm you up this winter, be sure to check these novels/authors out!  What are your favourite NA reads this year? Be sure to let me know in the comments below!
  1. I Read Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma. Its YA/NA. I gave it 5 out of 5 stars. Except for Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell and Shadows by Paula Weston, there's not much NA books I'm interested in reading at the moment.
    1. See, I've read quite a bit of NA, but I did not like Forbidden....I can't say I was a fan of the sister-brother story-line.
  2. My NA reads have been a bit slim. There are so few paranormal NA books out there and paranormal reads are my kind of read! I did read Abbi Glines' Existence trilogy and J. Lynn's Unchained. Those are ones that I know were NA, some other reads might be dancing the line of being YA or NA. I can't be sure if they were NA or not. They might be more YA as the characters weren't quite 18, of course the Existence trilogy started the first two books out in high school and book 3 was in college...
    Thought of another as I said college and that was Alyssa Rose Ivy's The Crescent Chronicles and of course I started the spinoff with Soar!
  3. It's not for everyone but I blew thru the Too Far series by Abbi Glines. I also loved Hopeless by Colleen Hoover, Wait for You and Frigid by J. Lynn. I haven't gotten to read any of the Sea Breeze series yet but I am going too. Thanks!
