Yes, it is that time of the week. The day we dread and wish would never come- Mondays. *Wipes tear* But have no fear, Memory Lane Monday is here! Every Monday, here at TheYABookworm, I'll do a special post called Memory Lane Monday. What's that you ask? Memory Lane Monday is a once-a-week post where I (or any other bloggers that wish to participate)  choose one book that I've previously read to be featured on that day. From the book chosen, I will pick two of my favourite quotes and write a little blurb containing my quick thoughts on the book. The books that I choose will not be books I've reviewed- since I've read so many books, I want to share with you my opinions on ones that I won't get the chance to fully review (because seriously, rereading dozens of books would take a year...or two)! Strange Angels By: Lili St. Crow

Dad? Zombie.

Mom? Long gone.

Me? Well, that's the scary part.

The real world is a frighting place. Just ask sixteen-year-old orphan Dru Anderson, a tough girl who has taken down her fair share of bad guys. She's armed, dangerous, and ready to kill first and ask questions later. So it's gonna take her a while to figure out who she can trust...

Dru Anderson has been "strange" for as long as she can remember, traveling from town to town with her father to hunt the things that go bump in the night. It's a weird life, but a good one- until it all explodes in an icy, broken-down Dakota  town, when a hungry zombie busts through her kitchen door. Alone, terrified, and trapped, Dru's going to need every inch of her wit and training to stay alive. The monsters have decided to hunt back-and this time, Dru's on their menu. Chances of survival? Slim to none.

   Strange Angels is the first book in Lili St.Crow's five book series. I first read Strange Angels about two years ago and the best way to describe my experience was "love at first word." Dru's feisty attitude immediately drew me in- not only is she hilariously funny, but her kick ass zombie killing abilities make her a force to be reckoned with. Fans of Rose Hathaway from The Vampire Academy will definitely fall in love with Dru Anderson.


   A unique storyline equipped with two supporting males and a pretty awesome heroine make Strange Angels a great début for St.Crow's series. Be sure to check back here every Monday to look out for other Strange Angel novels that might be  featured- as well as some hot others! See you next Monday!
