Ceaseless By: Abbi Glines Review

Ceaseless (Existence #3)
Author: Abbi Glines
Rating: 4.5/5
Can he make her fall in love with him… again?
When Pagan Moore proved worthy of Death’s devotion, he was given the gift of getting to keep her.
But Dank was never promised that Pagan would keep him.

When a soul is created, so is its mate. In every lifetime those souls find each other. They complete the other’s destiny. It’s time for Pagan’s soul to choose if she truly wants an eternity at Death’s side or if she wants the mate created just for her.
Dank didn’t think he had to worry about her choice. He knew where her heart belonged. Until he realized that every kiss, every touch, every moment of their time together would be washed from her memories. He would have to win her heart all over again and prove to her soul that he was where she belonged.
If only her soul’s mate wasn’t right there standing in his way.

   Ceaseless is the third and final installment in author Abbi Glines' Existence trilogy (Excuse me as I go cry in a corner.....*starts bawling*........*wipes tear*.......Okay, I think I'm good......*starts bawling*) If you couldn't already tell, this book was the definition of "bitter-sweet" for me! Although I wasn't an immediate fan of the first book, Existence, Abbi Glines was able to change my mind with book two! Luckily, my love for the series grew with the release of Ceaseless!

   A majority of the book revolves around Dank desperately trying to get Pagan to fall in love with him again.  Pagan's memory has been erased so that her soul can freely choose an eternity with Dank, or a life with her soul mate. I think this plot point is very comparable to Becca Fitzpatrick's Silence (the third book in the Hush Hush series), and I have to say, I absolutely love it. This type of story-line allows us to go through Dank and Pagan's whole love story all over again- If you loved seeing them find each  other the first time, then you'll love seeing them find each other a second time!

   Another thing I think is really important to point out is the hot sizzle in this book! Being the Abbi Glines fangirl that I am, I have noticed a pattern of total and utter sexiness in all of her books- but Existence and Predestined have always been a little bit more PG. What's so interesting about Ceaseless is that Abbi Glines brings a bit more heat  to the interactions between Dank and Pagan! Things become a lot steamier and a lot more addicting! =D

   Of course, how can I write a review without mentioning how steamy, awesome, sweet, cute, HOT the relationship between Dank and Pagan is! Now, I'll be the first one to admit that I didn't like these two together very much in Existence, but since then I have probably become one of their biggest fans! Their relationship is so intense and so deep - I honestly can't get enough of them (especially Dank...can I say, yummy?!) I also really enjoyed seeing music continue to be a big part of Dank and Pagan's relationship! The song Dank created for Pagan earlier in the series ("Yet You Stay") is simply incredible- I listen to it all the time (I'll post a link below)! I'm hoping the new song featured in this book will be released on iTunes soon!

   And lastly, but not least, I think readers will be happy to know that everyone gets a happy ending in the end- yes, even Leif! Although I would love to read another book surrounding Dank and Pagan's future, I think the series ends at a nice place that everyone should be happy with!

Favourite Quotes...

"Pagan lifted one shoulder and I prayed by all that was holy that she'd take off that pink bra. This may be invading her privacy but I was Death, dammit. I should get some privileges."
~~~~~
“I realized you owned me one night in this room. I was singing to you and you were sleeping. You made a little noise in your sleep like you were distressed and I panicked and ran to your side. You grabbed my arm in your sleep and pulled it up against your face and went back to sleep. I didn't want to ever move.”
~~~~~~

“What if she never remembers?"

"Then you better make her fall in love with you, again."

"How did I do it the first time?"

"You let her in.”

~~~~~~
“You're mine, Pagan Moore. You will always be mine.”
Overall...
   Overall Ceaseless was a fantastic conclusion to the Existence trilogy- I am left both satisfied and desperate for more (which is a good combination if I do say so myself)! Abbi Glines' next novel, Just For Now (Sea Breeze #4), is set to be released later this month on October 30th! I'll definitely be reading that one so be sure to look out for a review! How did you like Ceaseless? Are you a Dank and Pagan fan? Be sure to let me know in the comments! Keep Reading!
  1. Hey Caitlin, thanks for the review. I was left a bit disappointed by LEif the novella. Also being a die-hard fan of Abbi Glines I was used to more steam and heat than what was in existence and predestined... but after your review, I'm totally getting Ceaseless... thank you ;-)
    1. Aww that's great to hear! I definitely think, compared to Existence and Predestined, Abbi put in at a lot more steam than I'm used to in this trilogy. It definitely is more descriptive than most Y.A. novels- but it still doesn't reach While it Lasts levels :P Thanks for stopping by !
